At approx. 23:15 hrs. we were dispatched to the area of Westleigh Rd. and Manchester Rd. as Putnam 911 received multiple calls for something large on fire. Several caller were from a half mile away. Carmel FD. Chief Dave DiRienzo was in the area and responded. He arrived at the end of a common driveway to which he proceeded down and confirmed a fully involved structure fire. Lake Carmel's mutual aid plan with dispatched brining assistance to the scene from Brewster, Carmel, Kent, and PCBES Batt. 15. Additional Mutual aid was requested from Mahopac and Patterson. Due to the long common driveway which was very narrow for the large apparatus, water supply lines had to be stretched from Westleigh rd. to the scene. Several tankers transported over 63.000 gallons of water to the scene from Shoprite where a hydrant were filling the tankers. Firefighter remained on scene to approx. 05:30hrs and returned to quarters as the sun was rising.
