There have been a rash of Motor Vehicle Accidents in recent weeks that plagued the Kent area in recent weeks.

On Tuesday December 18th around 6pm LCFD responded to a serious MVA on I84 east bound east of exit 17. On arrival of Chief TJ Donohue he found three cars involved. One car was rolled over in the middle of the road, one off the road in the woods and NYS Trooper car on the shoulder of the highway. Lifenet helicopter had to land at the scene to transport the person with serious injuries to a trauma center. Others either refused medical attention or were transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries. The highway was closed for over three hours causing a traffic nightmare.

In the early morning hours Thursday December 20th LCFD first responders were sent to a MVA involving one car into a utility pole on Bowen Rd. The operator of the vehicle was transported via LCFD ambulance to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.
