Shortly after midnight, the Lake Carmel Fire Department was dispatched to a reported trash fire located 10 feet from a residence. Upon arrival, first responding units discovered an active rubbish fire. Crews promptly extinguished the fire and briefed the homeowner on the dangers of uncontrolled burning, reminding them of the current burn ban in the state of New York.
