| The Lake Carmel Fire Department has taken another step forward in enhancing its emergency response capabilities with the arrival of its brand-new mini pumper 17-3-1. This specialized piece of apparatus, designed for maneuverability and versatility, allows firefighters to be able to navigate narrow driveways, tight rural roads, and other areas where larger engines may struggle. It was put through its paces on Sunday as firefighters conducted a hands-on training session.
The training focused on familiarizing members with the truck’s pumping system. Firefighters practiced deploying handlines, operating the pump panel, and running water supply drills to ensure they could maximize the new tool’s capabilities during real emergencies. |
