On December 24th at approximately 7:54 AM, the Lake Carmel Fire Department and Town of Kent Police responded to a vehicle fire on Ontario Road. Units 17-1-1 and 17-1-2 arrived shortly after dispatch and found an engine compartment fire that had rapidly spread into the passenger area. Engine 17-2-3 arrived shortly thereafter and extinguished the fire. Crews remained on scene to ensure safety and were back in service approximately 30 minutes after dispatch.
