At approx. 1:15am Carmel was dispatched for a Structure fire. Upon arrival the building was found fully involved and the lone occupant outside. Due to the involvement of the fire an Exterior attack was ordered. Efforts were hampered by frigid cold temps of 5 degrees and a strong wind. The ground around the house quickly turned to ice further increasing the danger to responders. Lake Carmel remained on scene till 6am and returned to quarters to thaw out.
