Joseph H. Vigliotti, 72, of Brewster, NY passed away on February 6, 2018 at Putnam Hospital Center.

Mr. Vigliottti was born on November 28, 1945 to Angelo and Opal (McDonald) Vigliotti in Hays, KS. He proudly served our Country as a Sergeant with US Marine Corps from 1965-1971. On November 12, 1978, he married the love of his life, Barbara Dunphy in White Plains, NY and together they were blessed with three children; Brian, Christopher and Catherine.

Before he retired in 1989, Joseph was a courageous Firefighter for the Eastchester Fire Department in Eastchester, NY. In his spare time, he volunteered for the Red Cross, NYFD and Lake Carmel Fire Department where he was a life-long member, but most of all he loved to spend his time with family and friends.

Joseph was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who had known and loved him, yet his legacy of love, community, and devotion to family and friends will continue to grow in our hearts.

Joseph is survived by his three loving children; Brian and Sara Vigliotti of Norfolk, CT, Christopher and Genevieve Vigliotti of Okinawa, Japan and Catherine and Scott Camp of Hamilton, NJ, his sister Lisa Holland and brother-in-law Paul, and his four cherished grandchildren; Raphael, Justin, Isabella and Keira, all of whom he adored and each child held a special place in his heart.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Cargain Funeral Homes, Inc., 10 Fowler Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512 (845)225-3672. A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will take place on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 26 Prospect Street, Brewster, NY 10509. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 101 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.
